CLEVELAND, Feb. 17 – Critical technology and infrastructure solutions in the energy and mobility sectors will be addressed this September 12-15th, 2023 during Energy & Mobility: A Technology, Systems and Value Chain Conference and Expo at Cleveland’s I-X Center. Energy & Mobility is a multi-industry international conference focused on energy and modern mobility with an emphasis on advanced technologies, the challenges of systems integration, autonomy, and related product value chains and business models.
Already a platform for research, development, and implementation in the broad serving energy-technology space, the EnergyTech conference series was developed and has been hosted in Cleveland for over a decade and emerges in 2023 as Energy&Mobility. The new branding is the result of an organizing coalition between SAE International, NASA’s Glenn Research Center, and the International Council on System Engineering (INCOSE) and powered by Telepath Systems and Critical Ops.
Leading up to the in-person event will be a series of three webinars, the first of which, “How Energy Meets Mobility” will take place March 2nd, providing a basic overview of core issues and trends in energy and mobility that are motivating the conference and what attendees can expect. Panelists include conference co-chairs Dr. Ajay K. Misra, Deputy Director of Research and Engineering at NASA Glenn Research Center; Timothy P. McCartney, Director of Aeronautics at NASA Glenn Research Center; Pascal Thalin, Director, Aerospace Standards, Technology & Innovation at SAE International; and John Juhasz President, CEO Telepath Systems and INCOSE Working Group co-Chair.
“The synergies between the energy and mobility sectors that consider both systems integration and emerging gaps is a necessary approach to Energy&Mobility content,” says John Juhasz. Pascal Thalin adds, “It is at multi-sector interdisciplinary events like this, cutting across energy and mobility paradigms, where new connections between scientists, engineers, industry associations and enterprise are forged. Thanks to a wealth of opportunities offered at this uniquely positioned international event, latest technical and business knowledge can be shared and holistic approaches advanced.”
The call for Energy&Mobility technical papers and presentations is now open. Abstracts are requested by March 31, 2023. Details are accessible on the event website and through SAE International’s online portal.

Several themed workshops led by industry and NASA are hosted at the event to brainstorm top-of-mind considerations to underpin ways forward on research requirements, technology advancements and related means of compliance.
